In 1998 Ann relocated her lighting design firm, Y Lighting from New York to Charleston, SC and then in 2010 launched Ro Sham Beaux - an upscale creative design company that naturally weaves hemp fibers into it's creations.
Hemp has been used for thousands of applications ranging from products that are quite low cost to upper echelon, Malibuish, Anthropology-style, quality crafted designs such as the stunning lights by Ro Sham Beaux.
In addition to their production collection, Ro Sham Beaux designs specialized, custom services and products to the trade and hospitality industries. This allows designers to create lighting fixtures tailored to their own style and application along with many other interior and exterior creations.
Ro Sham Beaux’s designs can be seen in some of the finest stores, homes and commercial spaces from Southampton to Beverly Hills. Their product line captures the essence of functional art while bringing a whimsical element of beauty, earthiness, and durability to the forefront.
On most of the lamps, they are utilizing a 3MM hemp twine with precision and in a way that really complements the other natural materials they are integrating: metals, shells and other minerals and natural fibers!
